I was doing my Geography homework when I saw this commercial sponsored(or something like that)by Adam Khoo Learning Technologies group(don’t blame me if I got this wrong.I was trying to not get distracted and the commercial was too fast). It piqued my curiosity, and so, after finishing up the accursed homework, went to surf the net on this.
And guess which article i read at his website/blog(or whatever it’s called)?The genius one.Why?Cause I’m a Singaporean, and Singaporean(most, anyway)are kiasu.
After reading it, I just have had to reflect.
‘genius’ is not a stereotype.
To be a ‘genius’…you have to contribute in time, effort, perseverance etc. In other words, to be a ‘genius’, you need to contribute a lot of yourself. Harsh. Anyway, after reading the article…I want to make a resolution.
Before the ‘O’ levels, before the EOY or Common Tests, I want to take time out four times a week to study. That will be my goal.To reach it, I will need to plan a timetable, and stick to it - however undesirable it is.
So to the public audience I have here: Constantly remind me. To stick to my plan. It’s one small step to my goal.
